Plus Ultra I Ricoh Cybersecurity Matters
case study
Problem
Companies increasingly underestimate everyday digital objects—such as USB drives, compressed folders, or suspicious links—as potential malware vectors. With limited awareness and insufficient evaluation protocols, businesses become vulnerable to cyberattacks that can lead to data breaches, operational disruptions, or financial loss.
In Uruguay, the threat is not theoretical: in 2024 alone, CERTuy documented 14,264 cybersecurity incidents—a staggering 65% rise over 2023—with malware accounting for nearly 17% of all detected threats. Attacks happen so frequently that the government registers one incident every 30 minutes.
Solution & Impact
Cybersecurity Matters brings these invisible threats into clear focus. The campaign pairs visually compelling assets—pendrives, zip folders, or disguised links—with a minimalist, punchy message that reminds viewers: harmless-looking digital elements can carry dangerous payloads. It urges professionals to pause, verify, and evaluate devices or links before using them.
By showcasing these everyday objects in a bold, cautionary light, the campaign raises awareness and encourages proactive security behaviors—such as scanning USBs, validating links, and instituting internal evaluation procedures—to avoid malware infiltration. For Uruguay-based enterprises operating in a high-risk environment, this heightened vigilance can prevent costly disruptions and strengthen digital resilience.

- Creative Copywriting
- Strategic Research
- Adaptation & Application
Designed the primary visual assets and messaging system. Developed a cohesive visual style that conveys understated digital objects as potential threats. Created bold key visuals, digital banners, and website mock-ups that tap into minimalism and contrast to generate visual tension.
I collaborated closely with the brand and copywriting teams to refine messaging that is concise yet impactful—designed specifically to resonate with U.S. enterprises. Also managed production coordination, ensuring visual assets aligned with Ricoh’s device integration features, reinforcing the partnership with PlusUltra.
